Failure Is Our Friend

Learning how to take a loss prepares us for success

Nothing prevents us from progressing in our personal growth like the fear of failure.

Our pride and our ego make it unbearable to be seen by others as taking a loss.

This is especially prevalent in a time when social media gives the false appearance that everyone is living their “best life.”

Rather than risk failure by trying something new or beneficial, we choose to remain comfortably stuck right where we are rather than risk criticism.

Just remember that people who are actively working to improve themselves don’t have time to sit around criticizing others.

Put another way, anyone who has time to gloat over your failures isn’t serious about their own growth.

They’ll still be in the same place a year, 5 years or 10 years from now.

People who are highly successful were not born that way.

Luck had nothing to do with the heights they’ve reached.

They have all paid a steep price, including failing many times, to attain the heights they’ve reached.

The people who achieve seemingly overnight success have generally been tirelessly at work for decades before they are noticed.

What brings them to a place of success and accomplishment is the willingness to keep going after failing at something and to learn from their mistakes so as not to repeat them.

Did you catch that?

Failing at something doesn’t make us a failure.

It is a necessary part of the natural process of learning and growing.
