Something is Wrong and We All Know It
In these days of increasing confusion, traditional ways and methods are being shouted down. Voices of light are silenced through bullying and intimidation.
Inherently evil people marginalize humble people in exchange for money, power, and some demented perception of their own increased personal self-worth.
Most everyone senses something dysfunctional with how the world operates today.
Many have been intimidated into delegating personal critical thought and decision-making to "authorities" who are not required to live with the consequences of the decisions made for others.
By learning and implementing the principles of critical thinking and personal strategery we teach, you will join a movement to rekindle the thought and decision-making processes that uniquely define each of us as human beings.
You will:
Become empowered to be free and live each life according to the dictates of your heart.
Discover and memorialize your values firmly planted in your defined doctrine and principles.
Develop a plan for accomplishing your most important goals. You will create your unique moral compass to provide firm and unwavering direction as you proceed along your chosen life path.
Increase your ability to quickly consider all the information at your disposal and discern what you want to accept or reject based on your thought process, being firm and immovable in your direction and behavior.
Experience comfort and peace as you remain true to the doctrine, principles, beliefs, and values at the center of your being while offering love, compassion, empathy, and service to those who choose to live by a moral code different from yours.
You can bet that life forces will plan for you if you do not plan your destiny.
And you may not like what life doles out!
Successful Businesses Plan Strategically and So Should You
It is no surprise that most, if not all, successful "American dream come true" companies have detailed plans for their future prosperity.
Organizations that provide direction through a long-range plan are better equipped to manage change successfully than those that do not plan.
Since successful businesses develop and carry out long-range plans, why shouldn't individuals and families do the same?
After all, long-range planning is not a dry and uninteresting process done by "gear heads" behind closed doors in an atmosphere designed to test the limits of tedium.
In reality, long-range strategic planning, especially at the family level, is an exciting process that fosters a sense of accomplishment and self-worth.
The Strategic Planning Process Is Fun!
As you learn and progress through the process, you will begin to comprehend your family's actual capacity for attainment.
You will establish explicit direction and then develop methods to meet your needs.
But most importantly, you will experience the gratification of seeing your family mold into a unified group with a clear understanding of shared values and direction.
Having a plan in mind replaces uncertainty with confidence as life changes occur.
I Am Not a Skeptic
The benefits of a well-thought-out action plan with your chosen unmovable guiding north star are clear.
The content provided in this work equips you with every tool necessary to develop practical critical thinking skills that become second nature and align with your principle-based strategic plan.
Reflecting upon personal experience, I realize that the late twenties through early forties are challenging. This period of life is an intense crucible.
Balancing time and material resources between personal, marital, nuclear family, extended family, including aging parents, community involvement, and spiritual needs can be intense.
Possessing strong decision-making skills and knowing your clear plan and direction to follow can make all the difference between owning your place in the world or being owned by the world.
Who Benefits from Self-directed Living
The Youngest Generations will Be Better Prepared to Take on the Future
Specifically, this compiled work will help young adults just starting to build momentum in their lives. Considering all the challenges Millennials and Zoomers face, singles and young traditional families can benefit from having an explicitly shared value system at the foundation of their agreed-upon life plan.
Knowing their unified "true north" will yoke them together so they pull in the same direction as a team.
The earlier in life younger people who have yet to reach adulthood can be exposed to these principles and methods can be learned, the better.
Upcoming generations who have internalized their values know what they believe in and why they believe in it, and they are steadfast and immovable in fulfilling their chosen life mission.
A more profound, rich sense of purpose and peace in life results from applying the principles of self-directed living.
Older Folks, Consider Paying it Forward
Finally, this content will help experienced strategic thinkers. There are always new tidbits to learn. So, if you fit into this category, it's time to review, update, and recommit to your values and life plan! Then, reach out to the younger folks and, if invited, offer to serve as an empathetic, compassionate mentor.
Avoid the Disappointment Gap
Disappointment is simply the gap between what is expected to be received and what is delivered (You can read a recently published in-depth article about the disappointment gap here.)
As you implement the principles shared in The Bootlegger’s Guide to Critical Thinking, a smaller expectation gap for disappointment will exist in your life.
However, the benefit of implementing this thought and action process in your life goes even deeper than avoiding simple disappointment. It provokes personal accountability and critical thinking, stimulates the intellect, and simplifies life by applying sound reasoning and proven methods that work. In addition, it will help you identify and bring you into contact with like-minded people.
You will recognize and develop relationships with others who share common personal values, including freedom, self-reliance, trust, and accountability.
