First of all, thank you for not saying "no" is a full sentence. Grammatically speaking , that is false. Ha. But, I totally agree with your message. We don't need to explain ourselves. I still find myself tangled up in people pleasing behaviors. But, a book that has really helped is "The Best Yes" which basically is the idea that you have to say "no" to some things so you are available to say 'yes' to the best things

I'll have to take a look at "The Best Yes." I've always been a pleaser and it has made life very difficult sometimes by being unwilling to say no.
I've gotten better but it's definitely a work in progress.
The essence of freedom is as much "No" as "Yes."
